Passive drone protection for correctional facilities
A fixed physical layer against contraband drone drops, with nothing to power and nothing that transmits.
The challenge
Drones carry contraband over perimeter walls and onto roofs and yards. Detection can show the threat, but the facility still needs something physical at the drop points.
What we offer
- Patent-pending roof-mounted nets on mechanical telescopic poles, placed over yards, roofs and known drop zones.
- A patent-pending magnetic coating on the netting, attracted to the magnets in a drone's motors.
- Designed to hold what it catches through descent and recovery. The drone and its payload are recovered intact for investigation.
Why passive
No power, no RF emission and no software. Nothing to interfere with facility communications and no spectrum licence needed.
Fits what you have
It works alongside existing detection and your security and police response.
Where we are
Early stage. Australian provisional patent applications filed. Accepted into the Cicada Innovations Assemble program, and working with Deakin.
